"If at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it." - Albert Einstein
I'm fascinated by the idea of making things absurd. The greatest companies in the world were once non-obvious ideas that have gradually worn their way into becoming so natural and intuitive that a world without them seems, well, absurd. In recent startup history, every company from Google to Moderna to AirBnB started with a non-intuitive idea that now seems absurdly obvious.
No better word to use then when introducing Luminate Medical, a new medical device company based in Galway, Ireland. Our passion is to confine chemotherapy induced hair loss to the absurd scrap heap. To do just that, we've built an amazing team of very smart people, and a new therapeutic mechanism to prevent drug toxicity damage to the scalp. Over the next series of blog posts, I'll take the opportunity to introduce both.
