Emerging from NUI Galway’s BioInnovate programme, Luminate Medical was founded in 2018, and in 2019, was recognised as one of the most valuable growth stage companies in Europe. Since then, the company has been backed by billionaire Peter Thiel, Y Combinator (the US accelerator behind Dropbox, AirBnB and Stripe), and Enterprise Ireland’s Disruptive Technology Innovation Fund, and is aiming to launch its first product into the US market in 2023.

Our vision is to build innovative new products which revolutionise the patient experience of cancer treatment.
